Leave us not forget “Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice”! I’ve never seen it, and don’t know if he played Bob or Ted, but it was a big hit comedy film in the late ’60s.

I was surprised by Raquel Welch’s performance in Hannie Calder. She displayed good comedic timing in Richard Lester’s Musketeer movies but I hadn’t ever seen her be remotely convincing in a dramatic role. Was the better performance because she had so many scenes opposite Culp? He impressed me as a :”generous” actor. I am about to watch the last episode of GAH (Vanity, says the Preacher) and decided to do a search to see if GAH is still remembered. Glad to see it is. I have always liked Mr. Culp, in everything he was in. His style is honest and entertaining. No one can deliver a line like Robert.

I loved the contrast between Ralph and Bill in GAH.
It’s a riot and much fun to watch.

The Flood was another great movie. Of course Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice is my favorite.

Robert Culp was a superb athlete – the pole vaulting bit in ‘To Florence With Love’ in ‘I Spy’ was terrific! – he would have been excellent in the action scenes. Plus he’s far better looking and sexier than James Coburn – no offence to James Coburn – and I think he’s… Read more »
